These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PureKid mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The service

PureKid lets you scan grocery product barcodes to view nutrition information, additive explanations, and allergen warnings, and to keep family profiles and scan history. Product data is sourced from third parties such as Open Food Facts and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

2. Not medical or dietary advice

PureKid provides general informational content only. It is not medical, nutritional, or allergy advice and is not a substitute for professional judgment. Health scores, allergen alerts, and additive information may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always read the actual product packaging and consult a qualified healthcare professional for any medical, allergy, or dietary decision — especially regarding food allergies, which can be life-threatening. You use PureKid at your own risk and are solely responsible for decisions you make for yourself or your children.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have appropriate authority) to use the App on behalf of your family. The App creates an anonymous account automatically; you are responsible for activity on your device.

4. Subscriptions (PureKid Plus)

PureKid offers an auto-renewable subscription, "PureKid Plus", with weekly and yearly options. The following terms apply:

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to disrupt the service, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, access it through unauthorized means, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The App and its content (excluding third-party product data) are owned by the PureKid developer and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
